NAATI introduces new scheduled testing from 1st July 2016
From the 1st of July 2016, NAATI is changing the way it offers testing for 30 languages. Testing for these languages will move from the traditional on demand model to scheduled dates.
In announcing the decision, NAATI CEO Mark Painting said that “this change is in response to low demand for a number of languages and by planning and scheduling tests in advance we will ensure that we can determine test results through our examiner panels more quickly and efficiently.”
Testing dates will now be determined through a free, online expression of interest process where applicants will submit their interest to NAATI who will then contact them to apply for a scheduled test date.
In some languages, testing may only be offered once every 12-24 months depending on demand for that particular language.
Interested applicants are able to submit their expressions of interest now through the accreditation information page on the NAATI website.
Applicants who have applied for but not yet sat a test for these languages will be contacted by NAATI to make appropriate arrangements.
