Interpreting for the 2015 China Advanced Leadership Program (CALP)

The China Advanced Leadership Program (CALP) is a unique collaboration between the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) and the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

CALP delegations are comprised of high level Chinese leaders, representing the importance placed on the program by ANZSOG’s Chinese partners. The Organization Department is one of the most significant agencies within the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, being responsible for all key appointments in government and related areas. Previous delegations, carefully selected by the Organization Department, have included Vice-Ministers from the Central Government, Party Secretaries, City Mayors, and Vice Governors.

They are accompanied by a team of 3 interpreters who interpret all official speeches and are assigned to the highest ranking participants, plus support interpreters.

The 2015 China Advanced Leadership Program will commence in Canberra on 22 November, before moving on to Sydney (27-30 November), Wellington (1-3 December), Auckland (4-5 December) and Melbourne (6-9 December).
