With the explosion of YouTube videos today, it makes good sense to broaden your audience by having them translated. Over 60% of YouTube’s audience are foreign language speakers and hearing-impaired viewers. Reach them with captions and subtitles.
Language Professionals can assist with corporate videos subtitling or captioning. We have produced translations and foreign language subtitles for federal and state government videos, promotional videos, news and current affairs programs and websites.
Language Professionals’ Françoise and Max both learnt the art of subtitling while working at SBS Television, Max as German subtitler and Françoise as French subtitler.
There are strict rules to subtitling: Each subtitle must contain no more than a certain number of characters and must remain on screen for a predetermined length of time to ensure that it can be read easily. Since people generally speak faster than their words can be read on screen, it is almost always necessary to edit the speech according to the amount of time available. For all our subtitling projects, we use translators skilled and experienced in that particular area.
